Web Portfolio

Here are a few examples of web designs that we have made in the past. This list is by no means complete. All our websites are tailor-made to fit the client's requirements. We do not use any cookie-cutter templates; all our designs are unique and original designs.
Of course our work is not limited to the styles shown here. If you need something new and different, feel free to contact us and we will create a design that meets your exact requirements.

Websites

New Transtec (2009) -- This importer of high-end audio and video equipment in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg wanted a spare and clean design, but needed to present its prestigious products as stylish as possible. The entire website is multi-lingual, has dynamic menu's and page content, offers extensive product information, and features an automated product registration feature with back-end facilities for office staff.

Elektronica Service Krimpen (2008) -- A website for a service and repair company of flat screen televisions and HiFi equipment in The Netherlands. The website incorporates different design styles for each division of the company, and provides access to an external system with which customers can place and track repair orders. (The content of this website is in Dutch.)

The Classique Spa (2008) -- A website for a luxurious, upmarket spa in the prestigious area of Norwood. The client requested that it be kept as simple as possible, yet it had to convey an atmosphere of luxury, pampering, wellbeing, style and uncompromising quality. Extensive on-site photo shoots were part of the project. The website is operated by our business partner Silver Wolf Enterprises.

Wright Immigration (2007) -- A simple website for a small immigration services provider. Its main objective was to advertise company services and to offer the various documents related to immigration formalities for download, especially to overseas clients.

Sea Of Life South Africa (2007) -- a full-fledged e-commerce application, aimed at brand-building, marketing and online sales. To reduce cost the online store was based on Open Source software, heavily modified to match South African banks and credit card systems, VAT rates, and postage rates. (Note: the company no longer sells products online at this time. The E-commerce features have been converted to an online catalogue.)

One Stop Shopping (2006) -- this website, operated by our business partner Silver Wolf Enterprises, provides inexpensive online advertising to small companies. It focuses on the tourism and leisure market. It incorporates a custom content management system for web-based administration and automated usage tracking and exposure statistics generation.

The Grandmothers Speak (2006) -- a spiritual website created and maintained for a client in California, USA. It includes mostly text and images, as well as an online store page that uses a simple shopping cart facility provided by PayPal.

Nails 4 Africa (2005) -- this nail care training centre had a two page website based on a commercial template, which produced rendering errors in most web browsers and was expensive to maintain. We were asked to design an entirely new website, based upon the fairly strict colour and style requirements of the company.

Elnathans (2005) -- a small website for a property & financial company. All we had to work with was a scanned business card, and instructions to "make it look stunning". Since the company had three major areas of activity, the website was made in three sections, all with their own look-and-feel as per the client's exact specifications.

PI4RTD (2004) -- a database-driven website developed for a Dutch amateur radio club. It has a bespoke and secure content management system, and features include event calendars, scheduled publication and expiry of articles, headlines on the home page, photo albums, and a back-end facility for secure mass-mail to club members. (The content of this website is in Dutch.)

ZS6HVB (2004) -- a very small website for the Highveld Amateur Radio Club. This was a very early project, with little content and less budget. The website primarily serves as a means to contact the club's board members, to publish news bulletins, and to promote the social aspects of amateur radio.

Little Owls (2003) -- This was a small project for a Montessori school, done on a very limited budget. What little content was available was all text, so our challenge was to make a simple, yet graphically pleasing interface to present this text in an attractive manner.

Motivation, Adventure & Leadership Tours (2003) -- this website was designed, produced and rolled out within the space of six hours. Its design put a heavy emphasis on the theme of adventure and exploration. Wood and parchment textures, sepia tones and an antique typewriter font all contributed to expressing the company's core theme of exploring one's frontiers.

Exec-Q-Tyre (2002) -- This website for a tyre fitment centre is very simple and economic in design. Yet it is a good example of how effective use of colour contributes dramatically to brand recognition. All colours used in the user interface are derived from the logo and company colours, which results in a look-and-feel that is recognizable, balanced and effective.

Wingate Motors cc (2000) -- one of our first projects. This is a 'static' website (i.e. written in HTML/CSS without any dynamic features). Among its primary purposes are company presentation, product presentation, and the publication of various training materials and catalogue items.

Unrealized design proposals

This design for a company that marketed natural household products was interesting to do. Just a bit unconventional, with a semi transparent content area, and with submenu colours that followed the corresponding main menu option. Unfortunately the project was cancelled.

This was a proposal for a website that was to sell miniature motorbikes. The project was not realized.

We were asked to make this design proposal for Coca Cola South Africa as part of a sub-contracting job. The client asked for a new design for the South African Coca Cola website, which had to emphasize South African themes, yet respect the corporate style of the Coca Cola Company.

A simple design proposal for a cosmetics store. All we had to work with was a business card to provide hints on company styling. The project did not progress beyond initial design.

This proposal for the Retail Motor Industry of South Africa was actually realized into a full-fledged website. Unfortunately government policies changed before the completed website was to go live, and the project was canceled in its final stage as a result of this.

This design proposal was a very early project. It was intended for a website which listed real estate. The only information we had to work with was a scanned business card. The user interface was made with a database-driven website in mind; the content area would have been easy to populate with real estate objects from a central database. The project did not progress beyond the design stage.

This user interface for a family website was intended to be as unconventional as possible. Each fireworks explosion was a roll-over image, displaying a group of portraits (related to the corresponding family) and linking the web site visitor to the corresponding pages. The design was actually realized and worked very well, but unfortunately the project was cancelled before completion.
